My migraine journey began when I started experiencing acute migraine episodes with symptoms such as light sensitivity, noise sensitivity, nausea, and neck stiffness. At the time, these episodes were often mistaken for normal headaches. Over the years, the attacks gradually became more frequent and intense, eventually developing into chronic migraine with attacks occurring many times a month.
Later, I was also diagnosed with IBS, highlighting how closely the brain and gut are connected and how stress and emotional overload can influence physical health. Living with chronic migraine significantly affected my daily functioning and mental health, and during the most difficult phases I experienced anxiety, depression with mood swings, PTSD, and suicidal thoughts before seeking professional psychiatric support.
Today, although chronic migraine has no cure, my condition is manageable than it once was. Along the way, connecting with migraine advocates helped me understand the importance of education and awareness around migraine. This understanding is the reason behind this website: to educate, support, and share reliable information so that people navigating migraine can find better understanding, management, and hope for recovery and remission without feeling unheard, misunderstood, or alone.
"Oftentimes, patients with migraine learn how to push through and continue on their day because they feel like, 'Well, life goes on.' They don't want to miss things. And so you can look completely well and still have migraine."

" [Pain] is absolutely not anybody's fault at all. These are fully automatic processes that our brain does without any input from us, for the most part."
